Leung, J.P. is the Chairman of Everbest Insurance Holdings Ltd. He was instrumental in bringing the services of New York Life Insurance to Hong Kong in 1988 and became the first President of New York Life Insurance Worldwide Ltd. Mr. Leung is currently the Chairman of the Insurance Training Board, Vocational Training Council, Member of the Insurance Sector Skills Upgrading Scheme, Labour and Welfare Bureau and Advisor of the Board of Business Studies, Lingnan University. He is the Founding President of the Hong Kong Society of Certified Insurance Practitioner, Life Member of Life Underwriters Association. He was admitted as an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1982 and Chartered Insurer in 1995. Mr. Leung is active on community services. He was a member of the Transport Advisory Committee from 2000 to 2006 and sat on a number of the related boards and committees. He has served the Board of Pok Oi Hospital for many years, Chairman for the year 1985/1986, and currently Permanent Advisor. He has held various positions in the Scout Association of Hong Kong and was Chairman of the Executive Committee from 1999 to 2009. He has been the Chairman of the Marine Port District, Junior Police Call since 2006.
